Fact-Checking Policy

How we verify credit-card facts and financial claims before and after publication.

Verification before publishing

Card terms and financial claims are checked against primary sources — the issuer’s official pages and terms and US government/regulatory sources — before a page is published. Each card entry records the source and the date it was last verified.

When a figure cannot be confirmed, the card or claim is not published rather than shown with a guessed value.

Ongoing checks

Card terms are rechecked on a recurring schedule because rates and offers change frequently. If a term has changed, we update the page and the last-verified date.
