Editorial Policy

How lavoroecredito.com researches, writes, and maintains its credit-card content, and how editorial independence is kept separate from advertising.

Our mission

lavoroecredito.com is an independent publisher that helps US consumers understand and compare credit cards. We are not a bank, card issuer, or lender, and we do not process applications or issue cards.

Our goal is to explain how credit cards work in plain English and help readers choose products that fit their situation.

How we create content

Every guide starts from primary sources — the card issuer’s official pages and terms, and US consumer-finance authorities such as the CFPB, the Federal Reserve, and the FTC. We prefer official documents over other blogs.

Research may be assisted by software, but financial content is reviewed by a person before publication, checked against sources, and dated. We do not auto-publish unreviewed content.

Independence from advertising

Editorial decisions — including which cards we cover and how we describe them — are made independently of advertising or affiliate relationships. Advertisers do not get favorable coverage in exchange for payment. See our Advertiser Disclosure and Review Methodology for details.

Keeping content current

Card terms change often. We recheck card facts on a recurring schedule and update the “last verified” date only when a real change is confirmed — never to make a page look fresh without a material update.
