How to Apply for the Chase Sapphire Reserve

Requirements

• At least 18 years old, U.S. resident with a valid SSN or ITIN
• Not eligible if you hold a Sapphire card or received a Sapphire bonus in the past 48 months
• Not currently over the Chase 5/24 threshold

Step by step

1. Confirm you are not over Chase 5/24 and are outside the 48-month Sapphire bonus window.
2. Open the official Chase Sapphire Reserve page and choose Apply Now.
3. Enter your personal and income information and submit the application.
4. Review the decision and set a plan to use the annual travel credits.

Is the annual fee worth it?

It depends on your travel spending. The card provides annual travel credits and lounge access that can offset the fee for frequent travelers, but light travelers may not break even.

Do authorized users cost extra?
